language. Located about 20 km from Denpasar, the temple sits on a huge offshore
rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.

tourism destinations in Bali island. Bali has nickname “Thousand Puras Island”
and one of the biggest Pura in Bali is Pura Tanah Lot. This Pura is located
separatedly from the mainlands, but still can be reached when the sea water
reduces without any boats. This Pura is oftenly used as a place for big rituals
and ceremonies in Bali.

Pura Tanah Lot is located in
Tabanan village, approximately 1 hour 15 mins journey from Kuta. According to a
story, this pura was bulit in 16th century by Danghyang Niratha who
successfully strengthened Hinduism in Bali island. Besides its historical
background values, this Pura also offers amazing charms, such as sunset.
A lot of visitors come in the evening. Not to mention if you wacth the
sunset from high cliffs with small restaurants there. Surely this place will
always be great choice for tourists having trips to Bali.
