Legian Bali,
Beautiful Sunset at Legian Bali |
North of Kuta;
generally a bit quieter. Good central location between Kuta & Seminyak.
Legian
hotels are in a neighbourhood that not so long ago was fertile rice paddy. Now
Legian is a bustling tourist destination dotted with hotels, designer shops and
restaurants. These days it's hard to tell where Kuta ends and Legian begins but
to simplify things a bit, and for all intents and purposes, once you pass Jl.
Melasti heading north you enter into Legian. Keep heading north until Jl.
Dhyana Pura (once past Jl. Dhayan Pura you enter Seminyak).
Legian has fewer nightclubs and bars and is thus a bit quieter than Kuta. As well the hotels and resorts here tend to be smaller, mid sized, locally owned and managed properties with fewer facilities than found in the larger international chain hotels elsewhere. Yet that said, Legian hotels tend to be a bit more expensive than their counterparts in Kuta and often refer to themselves as 'boutique hotels'.
